ZARO
Zaro was born in
Domodossola, province of Novara in northern Italy on April 19,
1954. He lived in Italy until 1969, when he and his family came to
San Francisco. First, he studied English as a second language at
Galileo High School and then studied mechanical engineering and
physics at the University of San Francisco, stopping just short of a
degree.
His constant love and study of art culminated in a desire to create
large-scale sculpture in steel, stone and wood. Zaro currently lives
and works in Johnson City, Texas, where he recently acquired a 7000
sq.ft. building that will house his sculpture studio.
