“My passion lies in creating
communication in each piece of sculpture. I love mixing
contemporary and organic shapes into art that can have direct
communication through contact with the artwork. My objective for
functional art is to make work that will fulfill the environmental
spaces in appropriateness of setting and function. Optimizing
levels of the aesthetic, my work seeks to bring responses by
blending historical and cultural context.”
“I enjoy working on large scale
pieces and creating monuments for public spaces is an increasing
focus of my work. When I pour a casting it gives me great pleasure
to see what the fluid metal will do with my ideas. I love working
with rich woods, bronze,
and stainless steel, as mixed media give me textural differences.”
